I have just downloaded mNotes.
I am evaluating it for recommending it our management for purchase.
I am using O2 XDA 2. I would like to access to my Notes Mail on the unit. Base on my reading this can be done. I am accessing to Internet via GPRS.
Before I start the installation, I appreciate some advise.
Some preliminary Questions:
Currently my Notes Mail has a lot of mails ... many mails that come from listserver are left unread ... do I have to clean the mail first before I start using mNotes? My mail file size is 600 MB.
How does mNotes replicate the mail file? Is it the same as in Notes, determine the last point, and continue from that point? ( a friend uses Exchange, and when she sysnc, the process goes through every mail before download the new mails -- on an overseas call that can be costly)
I assume that ActiveSyn must be installed on my Domino server to provide full compatibility. (Page 28 Admin Manual)
Should I use a separate server for mNotes, can I use the same Domino Server? I have 50 Notes users (in Singapore) , and may be 10 will use mNotes. (I may have more mNotes clients for user in Jakarta and Batam)
Domino server in Batam is running 6.01, Batam, 4.61, Jakarta 4.61. All will be upgraded to 6.5 within the next 30 to 60 days. (that may be a good time to introduce mNotes group wide)
Are there an gotcha I should look out for during my trial?
